Environment Canada calling for ‘severe’ thunderstorms, rain all weekend

KAMLOOPS — If you were hoping to get some yardwork done or spend the weekend lounging beside the lake, a change of plans may be in order.
Environment Canada says rain and thunderstorms are in the offing for our area.
Forecaster Armel Castellan says the pieces are in place for thunderstorms across the Southern Interior this weekend.
“We’re really looking at many of those ingredients being present across the Southern and Central Interior for some pretty juicy thunderstorms, maybe even severe thunderstorms. We’re talking about really heavy downpours, certainly hail, lightning and even some really gusty winds.”
