Province lifts high water advisories for several rivers, including North Thompson, Bonaparte
VICTORIA — It’s one of the first indications that the threat of high water is subsiding.
The B.C. River Forecast Centre (RFC) has lifted a series of high streamflow advisories, including those in place for the North Thompson River and its tributaries, the Bonaparte River at Cache Creek and the Salmon River near Salmon Arm.
The RFC says levels have been improving thanks to cooler weather and diminshed rainfall over the past week.
