Only one new COVID-19 case in B.C. Friday

VICTORIA — Provincial health officials are reporting dramatically improved COVID-19 numbers Friday (June 5).

According to a news release, only one new case has been registered in all of B.C. The total will remain the same as Thursday, 2,632, due to a data correction that has resulted in one of Thursday’s cases being subtracted.

Additionally, the number of active cases in the provinces has dipped to 193.

Of those active cases, 21 are hospitalized and five are in intensive care.
