Organizers say Thursday protest in downtown Kamloops cancelled

KAMLOOPS — The group organizing a protest in downtown Kamloops in support of George Floyd says the event has been cancelled.
On its Instagram account, the group — now called kamloops.bipoc.support — says “our intentions did not align with the effects of our actions.”
The post says the intention was to create a space for BIPOC (black, Indigenous, people of colour) to express themselves. The group says it “would rather see BIPOC directly organize these events.”
