Province downgrades advisory on Bonaparte, lifts advisory for Nicola River
VICTORIA — The B.C. River Forecast Centre (RFC) has downgraded a flood watch on the Bonaparte River at Cache Creek to a high streamflow advisory.
In an update Tuesday morning (June 2), the RFC also ended high streamflow advisories for several areas, including the Nicola River and its tributaries downstream of Nicola Lake through Spences Bridge.
High streamflow advisories remain in place for the North and South Thompson Rivers, and the RFC’s Dave Campbell says he will be watching those major rivers for the next couple of weeks.
Campbell notes the forecast is favourable for the coming week, with cool temperatures.
