Home sales off again in May, but Kamloops real estate agents find hope

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops real estate agents are looking at the bright side as the sector continues to suffer from the COVID-19-related slowdown.

Sales were down once again in May, with the 175 residential sales representing a 46 per cent decline from the same month in 2019.

But the Kamloops and District Real Estate Association (KADREA) says the good news is that sales were up 45 per cent from April, the first full month of the pandemic taking hold in B.C.

The average price in Kamloops was up about six per cent to $485,000.
