B.C. sees second-lowest single-day total of new COVID-19 cases since before pandemic was declared

KAMLOOPS — The province of B.C. has announced just four new cases of COVID-19 Friday (May 29). That is the second-lowest total of new test positive cases in the province since March 4 — before B.C.’s pandemic was declared.

In a news release, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says there were no new deaths due to the virus on Friday – more good news.

Of the total of 2,562 cases registered in B.C., 228 are still active, including 34 in hospital. Six people are in intensive care.

The number of those considered fully recovered is now 2,170, or 85 per cent.
