Two Kamloops men arrested, weapons seized after Merritt break-in

MERRITT, B.C. — Two Kamloops men were arrested after a break-and-enter in Merritt Wednesday (May 27).

In a news release, Cpl. Ryan Dell says Mounties were called last night to a break-in in progress at a home on Jackson Avenue.

Arriving within minutes, Mounties arrested the two suspects.

Subsequent investigation found batons, brass knuckles and “an assault-style rifle with a high-capacity ammunition magazine clip.”
