School Superintendent to retire
KAMLOOPS — She has helped guide School District 73 through some tough times over the past four years, and now School District Superintendent Alison Sidow is moving on to another chapter in her life.
Sidow announced to the School Board Monday May 25) she will be retiring as Superintendent effective August 31st. She has been Superintendent here since 2016, after previously serving as Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education in the District starting in 2012.
Sidow’s work includes developing and implementing a five-year strategic plan, reaching a 90-percent graduation rate for students, guiding the district’s plans after Parkcrest Elementary School burned down, and this year, helping the Board deal with the issues surrounding COVID-19, and all the changes that entailed.
