CLINTON, B.C. — RCMP in Clinton are looking for a suspect after a hit and run Friday night involving a pedestrian.

In a news release, Southeast District Media Relations Officer Corporal Jesse O’Donaghey says the incident happened Friday evening at 7:00 PM. Clinton RCMP responded to a report of a man discovered lying in the middle of the 7500 block of Meadow Lake Road in Canoe Creek. The pedestrian was seriously injured, although the injuries are not believed life-threatening.

Corporal O’Donaghey says the vehicle involved didn’t stay at the scene. The 33-year old victim, a resident of Canoe Creek, was taken to hospital for treatment. O’Donaghey says they’re asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of the vehicle, who he says left the victim laying injured on the roadway until passersby found him and called for help.
