The Lumineers Raise 600K
The Lumineers announced that they have raised more than $600,000 so far from Colorado Gives Back, the livestreamed music event that the band presented last weekend.
Donations are still being accepted, with proceeds going to the Recording Academy’s MusiCares fund and the Colorado Restaurant Association. Through the Spotify COVID-19 Music Relief project, Spotify has matched all donations, dollar for dollar, to MusiCares.
The live stream included performances by the Lumineers, OneRepublic, Jewel, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Isaac Slade of The Fray, plus video messages from legendary NFL quarterback Peyton Manning, two-time Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin, current Colorado Governor Jared Polis and others.
Lumineers frontman Wesley Schultz said, “Proud to call Colorado my home for the last 10 years, and so grateful to every person who tuned in and donated. Thank you to all the Colorado-based musicians, athletes, politicians, and chefs who took part in this fundraiser and special thanks to Spotify and MusiCares. With your help we came together to see that Colorado Gives Back.”
