Gyms and fitness studios allowed to reopen Tuesday economy begins to reopen in Kamloops
KELOWNA – Yoga studios, fitness centres and gyms will be eligible to reopen Tuesday as Phase Two of the B.C. government’s Restart Plan begins.
Interior Health’s Chief Medical Health Officer is lifting the order that closed the facilities April 2nd. But before the facilities can reopen, it will need to have strict health guidelines in place.
The guidelines are meant to protect both staff and clients from the COVID-19 virus. They include limiting the number of people in the facility and ensuring there is sufficient space between people. The use of change rooms is also discouraged.
Signage explaining hand hygiene, physical distancing and self-isolation rules will be available to facility operators for posting within their operations.
