Twenty-nine new COVID-19 cases in B.C.; recovery rate up to 68%

VICTORIA — The health ministry and office of Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry have released the COVID-19 numbers for Friday (May 8).

There are 29 new cases today – including one more in the Interior – bringing the provincial total to 2,315.

Here is where the cases are located:

• 866 (Vancouver Coastal)
• 1,089 (Fraser Health)
• 125 (Vancouver Island)
• 180 (Interior Health)
• 55 (Northern Health)

Of the 2,315 total positives, 1,579 people are considered fully recovered, or 68 per cent.
