Province issues advisory for rising North Thompson tributaries

VICTORIA — The focus on high water has shifted to the North Thompson.
For the first time this season, the B.C. River Forecast Centre has issued a high streamflow advisory for tributaries of the North Thompson River around the communities of Barriere and Clearwater.
In a release issued Wednesday morning (May 6), the Centre says Fishtrap Creek near McLure is flowing at nine cubic-metres-per-second, which is a five-year flow rate.
