Power outage strikes eastern edge of Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – UPDATE: BC Hydro says electricity was restored to all 1235 affected customers at approximately 2:30 pm. It has not determined the cause of the outage.
EARLIER: BC Hydro is reporting a power outage affecting more than 1,200 customers along the TransCanada highway east of the city. The affected area runs approximately 30 kilometres, from the eastern edge of Kamloops to the Monte Creek area.
The outage was reported at 12:39 pm. The cause of the outage hasn’t been identified and it’s not clear when power will be restored.
