Music in the Park goes quiet for 2020

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops is known for free live musical performances in Riverside Park every night of the summer. That won’t happen this year.
The City of Kamloops has officially cancelled Music in the Park, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mayor Ken Christian says the decision “was made in accordance with guidance from the provincial health authorities regarding large gatherings and physical distancing.”
Christian called Music in the Park, “the longest-running music festival in Kamloops,” and said it will be missed by many residents.
