Evacuation alert lifted for 150 Mile House – Borland Creek Area

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The Cariboo Regional District has lifted the evacuation alert for 150 Mile House – Borland Creek Area residents that was issued back on April 22.

The alert was put in place for 29 property owners due to concerns over high water.

“Residents returning home, are encouraged to consider that there is still high water and flooding in the area and to use caution,” says the CRD.

“An evacuation alert or order may need to be reissued due to flooding activity and residents must remain prepared.”

The CRD also reminds Cariboo residents to exercise caution as banks of rivers, streams or washout areas may be unstable and dangerous.
