KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are including a new addition to the detachment’s regular release of theft-from-motor-vehicle statistics and mapping — accompanying maps of bicycle thefts.
Spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says Kamloops officers took 22 theft-from-motor-vehicle complaints last week. They also took 14 complaints of bicycle thefts.
As a reminder, Shelkie says motorists should lock their vehicles, remove valuables from sight and secure bicycles to prevent future thefts.
