KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Mayor Ken Christian has introduced a task force to guide the city’s economic comeback as the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel comes into view.

Christian has asked political, business and education leaders from across the community to join the Mayor’s Task Force in Economic Recovery and Renewal.

In addition, Christian has assigned each Kamloops councillor to connect with a segment of the community.

He says many segments of the economy are struggling to survive.

“I think a lot of those are going to recover but are going to take some time to recover,” said Christian. “How do we manage that period of time between now and when we get back to where we were?”
