Plans to ease restrictions being made cautiously: Henry
VICTORIA — B.C.’s provincial health officer says plans are being made to ease restrictions as the rate of new COVID-19 infections slows.
But Dr. Bonnie Henry says officials are taking their time to ensure they get the plans right as no one wants to see a resurgence of the virus.
In her daily update Monday (Apr. 27) Henry announced 50 new positive tests for COVID-19 since the last update on Saturday, bringing the provincial total to 1,998.
Three more people have died of the virus since the previous update. All told, the virus has claimed 103 people since it was first identified in B.C.
