Province reports 29 new COVID-19 cases, four new deaths since Thursday

VICTORIA — New figures from the province show 29 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the province over the past 24 hours, and four new deaths.

According to a joint news release from Health Minister Adrian Dix and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry Friday (Apr. 24), the provincial total for positive cases is now 1,853.

Of that total, the vast majority remain in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, while 158 cases are in Interior Health, an increase of two from Thursday.

The province says 1,114 people are considered fully recovered, or 60 per cent of total cases.
