High water leads to washouts, road closures through the Cariboo

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — High water has led to washouts and road closures throughout the Cariboo.

According to Drive BC, there is a series of washouts centering on the Highway 97 corridor.

The most noteworthy is a closure of Highway 97 itself, at Soda Creek north of Williams Lake.

Other closures and washouts:

  • Soda Creek-MacAlister Road (Mudslide, no detour)
  • Mission Road near 150 Mile House (Flooding)
  • Pigeon Road near 150 Mile House (Washout, no detour)
  • Huston Road near 150 Mile House (Flooding)
  • Knife Creek Road near Lac La Hache (Washout, no detour)
  • Walker Road near Lac La Hache (Flooding, no detour)
  • Spring Lake Road near 108 Mile Ranch (Washout, no detour)
  • Doman Road near 100 Mile House (Flooding, no detour)
  • Little Green Lake Road near 70 Mile House (Flooding, no detour)
  • Boule Young Road near 70 Mile House (Flooding, no detour)
  • East Young Lake Road near 70 Mile House (Washout, no detour)
