Power Outage

UPDATE: East Kamloops power outage ends

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE (1:55 p.m.): BC Hydro’s website no longer lists this outage, though it is not listed as restored.

EARLIER (11:50 a.m.): The power is out for thousands of Kamloops-area residents.

According to BC Hydro’s website, the outage encompasses a large portion of east Kamloops, including Valleyview, Dallas, Barnhartvale and Campbell Creek.

The utility says 3,194 properties are affected.

The cause of the outage is under investigation and there is no estimated time for power to be restored.
