COVID-19 MAIL DELIVERY

Canada Post asking residents to keep safe distance away as carriers deliver mail

Apr 21, 2020 | 1:12 PM

KAMLOOPS — Canada Post has come out with some guidelines to keep its employees and people safe as mail delivery carries on under COVID-19.

HOME DELIVERY

Keep the door closed when mail carriers are delivering mail and parcels and avoid personally greeting them.

For residents who own dogs, Canada Post is asking owners not to open the door at your home, or if you’re out in the community, don’t allow your dog to approach a mail carrier. It may make physical distancing difficult if there’s a confrontation.

MAILBOX DELIVERY

If you collect your mail at a community mailbox, keep at least two metres from mail carriers if they’re putting mail in your mailbox.

POST OFFICES

Practice physical distancing and follow all other measures that have been implemented for your health and safety.
