Rear-ender disrupts morning traffic in Valleyview

KAMLOOPS — Traffic is flowing again on the East Trans Canada Highway in Valleyview after a morning collision.

Around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday (Apr. 15), a van was stopped at a red light at the intersection of the Trans Canada and Oriole Road.

An eastbound car rear-ended the van. No one was injured.

The eastbound lanes of the highway were closed briefly as RCMP and ambulance attendants responded.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie of Kamloops RCMP says the car’s driver was having trouble with the angle of the sun when the collision occurred.
