Pendrel’s season on hold — what’s in the future?

KAMLOOPS — Catharine Pendrel has been a member of the Canadian National Cross Country Mountain Bike Team since 2004.

Last December Canadian Cycling Magazine named Pendrel the athlete of the decade — a two time world champion, three World Cup titles, gold at the Commonwealth Games, silver at the Pan Am Games and bronze at the Olympics.

Normally Pendrel would be preparing for the World Cup season, and potentially another ride at the Olympics this summer.

But with the season on hold, and the Olympics postponed for a year. Pendrel, like so many others, is staying at home in Kamloops.
