B.C. reports six new COVID-19 related deaths; 55 new cases
VICTORIA — B.C. has reported 55 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, and six people have died in the same time period.
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said during her daily news conference today (April 2), that for the first time two deaths have been recorded on Vancouver Island.
The total number of test-positive cases in B.C. has reached 1,121 — which includes 641 people who have fully recovered.
Henry also announced another community outbreak — this time at the Okanagan Correctional Centre near Oliver.
