Ebus suspends B.C. services indefinitely

Apr 1, 2020 | 11:04 AM

KAMLOOPS — The charter bus company that serves routes across the province — including the Southern Interior — has suspended its services in B.C.

On its website, Ebus says B.C. services will be temporarily suspended as of April 5 until further notice.

The company suspended services in Alberta on March 29.

The suspensions are in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

“Suspending a service like inter-city transportation is an extremely difficult decision, but we feel it is one we must now make,” Ebus said in a statement after announcing its Alberta suspensions.

Rider Express, which also serves Kamloops and Western Canada, continues to offer rides, though it says it has increased its cleaning practices.
