B.C.’s top doctor says more than half of COVID-19 patients in the province have recovered

VICTORIA — The provincial government has provided the latest update on COVID-19 in B.C.
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said during her daily news conference Wednesday (April 1) that there have been 53 new cases of the virus over the last 24 hours.
That brings the provincial total to 1,066 cases, including 114 in the Interior Health (IH) region.
There are 142 people in hospital across B.C., with 67 of those in critical care.
