Kamloops Save-On Foods pharmacy has presumptive COVID-19 case: IH

KAMLOOPS — Interior Health is advising residents that there is a case of COVID-19 associated to the pharmacy at the Kamloops Sahali location of Save-On Foods.

According to the news release from IH, anyone who visited the pharmacy on March 10, 13, 14 or between March 16 and 21 should self monitor themselves closely and self-isolate for 14 days.

Immediately upon learning of the situation, Save-On Foods says it conducted a deep clean of the store before reopening.

It says employees who may have come into contact with the individual were notified. To date, none has reported symptoms.

In partnership with health officials, Save-On Foods says it has intensified sanitizing efforts for the safety for its customers and employees and it’s in the process of installing plexiglass barriers at checkouts and in pharmacies.
