Province records 42 new COVID-19 cases, bringing Wednesday total to 659
VICTORIA — The provincial health officer says, of the 600-plus people now confirmed to COVID-19 in B.C., nearly one-in-ten is a healthcare worker.
Dr. Bonnie Henry updated the public on the latest COVID-19 statistics Wednesday afternoon (Mar. 25).
She says 42 new cases have been confirmed, bringing the province-wide total to 659. Fifty-five of those cases are healthcare workers who work at Lower Mainland long-term care facilities impacted by outbreaks.
Forty-six of those cases are in Interior Health, and Dr. Henry says there has been one additional death in the province, at the Lynn Valley Care Centre in North Vancouver, one of B.C.’s major COVID-19 cluster sites.
