From the sports vault we rewind 21 years to the 1999 Canadian Amateur Golf Championship in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Diving into the vault for a sports re-wind — we go back 21 years.

Just before the turn to the 21st century, Kamloops was frong and centre on the Canadian golf map.

The 1999 Canadian Amateur Golf Championship was played here, at Rivershore.

At the end it came down to a 36-hole final between two players — a 22 year old from Calgary, and a 21 year old American, who was born in South Korea.
