KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are investigating a stabbing in Lower Sahali.

According to a news release from Cpl. Jodi Shelkie, Mounties were called to the incident at about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday (March 24), at the Husky service station on Columbia Street West at McGill Road.

Shelkie says after a man was stabbed at the gas station, two other men helped him across the street to the Star Lodge. From there, an ambulance took him for treatment to a local medical facility.

It’s believed his injuries are not life-threatening.

The suspect was last seen running south across McGill Road toward the Wendy’s restaurant.

Shelkie says he was wearing a black hoodie with a large design on the front and grey sleeves, grey sweatpants and white runners with a black stripe.

Anyone who has any more information on the suspect is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.

Shelkie also says RCMP would like to speak to the men who helped the victim away from the gas station to the Star Lodge.
