CRIME STOPPERS: Crimes of the Week — March 24, 2020

KAMLOOPS — Here are the Kamloops Crime Stoppers crimes of the week for March 24, 2020.

Crime of the week #1

Kamloops Crime Stoppers are trying to determine who was responsible for a small fire near a motorhome in Valleyview.

On March 10, the motorhome was parked in front of Big Daddy Liquor Store in the 1800-block of East Trans Canada Highway.

That’s when a burning rag was discovered near one of the motorhome’s tires. It was extinguished before it did major damage.

Anyone with information on who placed the rag is asked to contact Kamloops Crime Stoppers.

Crime of the week #2

Kamloops Crime Stoppers would like to help recover several pieces of expensive specialty electronics.

The items were stolen from a vehicle parked outside of a Columbia Street hotel in the early morning hours of March 6.

Stolen items:

  • Spectrum Analyzer (pictured) in a grey Pelican case
  • GTI Inspire drone
  • Dell laptop in an orange yellow Pelican backpack

Crime of the week #3

Another shoplifter is on the loose – and Kamloops Crime Stoppers would like to bring him to justice.

The man stole items from a downtown store on March 3.

Suspect description:

  • White
  • In his 20s to 30s
  • Thin build
  • Brown hair
  • Wearing lots of layers of clothing, including a grey hoodie, black jacket and grey sweatpants
  • Carrying a black backpack
