Bighorn Golf & Country Club closes due to health concerns over COVID-19
KAMLOOPS — After much consideration, the Bighorn Golf & Country Club is closing to golfers immediately due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a message to members, the Sun Rivers community, and guests, Bighorn director of golf Kathy Gook says the health and safety of everyone is the club’s top priority during this time.
“We encourage you to stay at home and not be on the course,” she said in the release. “Rex will have minimum staff to provide maintenance on the course when needed. Please stay safe, stay at home, and take good care of each other.”
The decision came after conversations with other golf courses in the Kamloops area. CFJC Today reported on Tuesday the Kamloops Golf & Country Club will close starting tomorrow (Mar. 25) due to the pandemic. It’s one of many other courses shutting its doors as a non-essential business.
