B.C. INTERIOR — The BC SPCA has seized a number of animals from a property in the B.C. Interior as part of a cruelty investigation.

The organization says on its website that just as the COVID-19 pandemic began unfolding, 46 miniature horses, four goats, six cattle, five llamas and two emus were removed from a property.

No specific location of the property was disclosed.

“The horses particularly were in devastating condition; horrifically overgrown hooves, caked in mud, riddled with lice and worms… and 20 of the mares were pregnant,” the BC SPCA says.
