LOGAN LAKE, B.C. β€” Teck Resources says it is slowing down its operations at several locations, including Highland Valley Copper in Logan Lake, in response to COVID-19.

In a message to employees obtained by CFJC Today, the mining company says the initial slowdown will last two weeks, and will result in the company reducing crew levels by about 50 per cent.

However, the company says all employees available for work will continue to be paid as normal during the reduction.

Teck says production will continue β€œon a reduced basis.”
