Charlie Puth’s Together At Home

Charlie Puth is the latest artist to take part in Global Citizen and the World Health Organization’s “Together, At Home” virtual concert series.

His performance took place on his Instagram Live yesterday. John Legend and Coldplay participated in the series before Charlie.

Puth, at his home piano, played his hits including “Attention,” “One Call Away” and “See You Again.” He also admitted that part of the inspiration behind the latter was a line in James Taylor’s “You’ve Got a Friend,” which he also performed for the virtual audience. “James Taylor is the reason I know how to sing,” he explained. “I was always obsessed with how he connected Brazilian influences into pop music.”

“If you think about it, it’s the first time the world is in unity,” he concluded on a hopeful note.

Puth also revealed he’s been collaborating with Legend, who performed on Tuesday. Puth passed the baton to Niall Horan and Common who’ll perform separately via their respective Instagram accounts today.

The “Together, At Home” series was created as a way to unite people all over the world amid the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
