Fire crews soak grassfire on Tk’emlups Reserve

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) crews doused a small grassfire Tuesday afternoon (Mar. 17) — one of the first such fires in the Kamloops area this year.
Crews were called to a fire on the Tk’emlups Reserve, off Salish Road near Halston Avenue.
The blaze ignited in grass and hay bales not far from where a trailer was destroyed by fire last year.
As of about 2:30 p.m., KFR personnel were mopping up some hot spots.
