Frigid wind in Kamloops expected to taper off by Sunday night
KAMLOOPS — It appears those in the Kamloops region will be dealing with a recent spurt of icy wind for a little while longer.
Environment Canada says the local area will be clear, cold, and windy through the rest of the weekend.
However, Meteorologist Colin Tam says the frigid wind in the area is expected to ease by tomorrow evening (Mar. 15), with temperatures getting back to normal.
“It’s a strong ridge of high pressure over northern B.C, and then we have some lower pressure south of the border here,” he explains, “So the pressure difference between the high and low is driving the strong wind.”
