New general manager appointed at Logan Lake’s Highland Valley Copper
LOGAN LAKE, B.C. — There is a change at the top of the Teck Highland Valley Copper (HVC) mine in Logan Lake.
In a news release, the company says general manager Geoff Brick has retired after six years with the company. He will be succeeded by Elaina Ware.
Ware has experience of 20-plus years in the mining industry. That includes roles as operations manager at HVC, general manager at Greenhills Operations in B.C.’s Elk Valley, and general manager of digital transformation for Teck’s RACE21 program.
The company praises Brick for his “focus on employee engagement was a key driver in the operation continuing to excel in delivering production and cost performance and in generating significant value for Teck through the implementation of technologies and RACE21 initiatives.”
