KAMLOOPS — The front-runner for the B.C. Green Party leadership will visit Kamloops next week.

According to the party, Cowichan Valley MLA Sonia Furstenau will be in Kamloops on March 17 for an event at the RareBirds co-operative housing on Battle Street West.

The Kamloops appearance will follow stops in Kelowna and Vernon.

Furstenau is one of two B.C. Green MLAs, and is letting her name stand to succeed former leader Andrew Weaver, who is now sitting as an independent.
