Snowfall warning issued for Coquihalla Highway

MERRITT, B.C. — Up to 20 centimetres of snow is expected to fall on the Coquihalla Highway by Wednesday morning (Mar. 4).

Environment Canada says a strong Pacific cold front will bring heavy snow to the route tonight. It will start to develop near the summit late this afternoon, but the snow level will lower as the front crosses the region.

Total snowfall accumulations of up to 20 centimetres are expected on the Hope to Merritt stretch by tomorrow morning.
