KAMLOOPS — If you’re in need of some family-friendly activities this Family Day, the City of Kamloops has got you covered.

The eighth annual Family Day Festival will be held at the Tournament Capital Centre Monday.

Nearly 50 community organizations will set up their various booths in the Fieldhouse.

“They range from magicians, face painters, musical instructors, sports organizations,” said the City’s Community Events Coordinator Dewi Evans. “You name it, we’ve got it. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. here at the TCC and then we’ve got a full stage of entertainment as well going on throughout the day.”

It will only cost you a toonie to swim at the TCC on Monday, and it will cost the same to skate at McArthur Island.

The rest of the activities at the TCC are completely free.

“It’s free to attend. No money whatsoever,” Evans said. “We’ll have food vendors here, so bring some money for them, but all of the booths will be free, so you can try the arts and crafts, play with the sports organizations, see the magicians, everything will be free.”
