KAMLOOPS — Western Canada Theatre (WCT) is a step closer to getting the green light for serving alcohol at Sagebrush Theatre.

At the regular Kamloops Council meeting Tuesday (Feb. 11), council unanimously endorsed WCT’s application to the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch for a liquor license at the Kamloops-Thompson School District facility.

The application is meant to allow WCT to host events at the theatre in which alcohol can be served.

The license would limit alcohol service to events with no more than 1,115 in attendance, and between 1:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.
