Kamloops building sector kept record momentum going into January

KAMLOOPS — Fresh off a third straight record year, the Kamloops building sector got 2020 off to a roaring start.

According to new statistics shared by the City of Kamloops, contractors received $19.5 million in building permits in January.

That’s more than twice the permit value the City issued in January of 2019.

The bulk of last month’s activity came in residential construction, including a single, $11.1 million permit for an apartment complex.
