Billie Eilish On Vogue

Billie Eilish appears on the latest issue of Vogue which features the singer discussing her career, upbringing, family and recording process.

The 18-year-old graces three different covers for Vogue’s March issue, each cover featuring Eilish in a different colorful outfit and pose.

“Music was always underlying,” Eilish said in reference to her upbringing. “I always sang. It was like wearing underwear. It was just always underneath whatever else you were doing.”

Eilish still lives at home with her parents in Los Angeles. She records music at the house with her brother and frequent collaborator, Finneas O’Connell. “We don’t like studios,” she said. “I hate not seeing daylight. I hate that they smell weird. I hate recording booths. I hate being far away and singing alone in a room.”

The five-time Grammy winner also opened up about the drawbacks that come with fame – and it’s helped her understand Britney Spears’ 2007 breakdown. “As a fan growing up, I was always like, What the f**k is wrong with them?” Bille said. “All the scandals. The Britney moment. You grow up thinking they’re pretty and they’re skinny; why would they f**k it up? But the bigger I get, the more I’m like, Oh, my God, of course they had to do that.” Billie even admitted that during her “lowest point” she even considered shaving her head, like how Britney did.

Billie also clapped back at the criticism she faced after it was revealed that she and Drake were texting. “The internet is such a stupid-a** mess right now,” Eilish tells Vogue. “Everybody’s so sensitive. A grown man can’t be a fan of an artist? There are so many people that the internet should be more worried about.” She added, “Like, you’re really going to say that Drake is creepy because he’s a fan of mine, and then you’re going to go vote for Trump? What the fuck is that sh*t?”
