KAMLOOPS — Corryn Brown and her Kamloops rink are Curl BC Women’s Champions, after taking out the defending champs, Team Wark from Abbotsford, in a thrilling extra-end match 8-7 Sunday morning.
The Brown rink trailed 7-5 heading into the 10th end but notched a pair to send the game into an extra end. There she stole a single point after the opposing skip Sarak Wark missed a raise to score on her final shot.
The win means Brown, teammates Ashley Klymchuk, Dezaray Hawes, and Erin Pincott will represent BC at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw, SK later this month.
The winner of the Scotties will represent Canada at the World Curing Championships in Prince George in March.
