Kamloops rinks 1-for-4 on opening day of B.C. Curling playdowns

KAMLOOPS —- Rinks from Kamloops won one of four on the first day of the B.C. women’s and men’s curling playdowns in Cranbrook.
The Corryn Brown rink started with a 9-4 win over Dailene Pewarchuk from Victoria, and followed with an 11-7 loss to Delta’s Sarah Daniels.
2016 B.C. champion Karla Thompson lost 9-7 to Kim Slattery of Vernon in the Thompson rinks only game on day one.
The eight rinks in the women’s draw will play a round robin with top four advancing to the playoff round.
