Premier continues northern tour with a stop in Quesnel

QUESNEL, B.C. — Premier John Horgan met with Mayor Bob Simpson in Quesnel today, along with City Council and local band chiefs.
For nearly two hours, Horgan sat to discuss the future of Quesnel as they find themselves in the midst of a forestry downturn.
Quesnel is facing the challenges that come with transitioning in the forestry industry, but discussions also included the growth of the industries within the North Central Interior as it continues to act as one of the province’s key economic hubs.
